Longest gaps between trade and disclosure

4 of this month's trades were disclosed more than 45 days after the trade date. The STOCK Act counts its 45 days from when a member is notified of a trade, which is usually but not always the trade date, and an amended report also carries a later filing date, so a long gap is not by itself a missed deadline.

About this data

Every figure is a count of the individual trades in the House and Senate periodic transaction reports filed during the month, by the date each report was made public. Options and other assets tied to a listed company are included. A report can list one holding more than once, for different accounts or for a spouse, and each line is counted as the separate trade it is.

Amounts are disclosed as ranges, such as $1,001 to $15,000, so this report never adds them up. Trades filed more than 90 days after they were made (279 this month) are left out of the rankings, so that one catch-up or amended filing cannot outweigh a month of current ones; they are in the download, marked as such.

For what the disclosures require and what they cannot tell you, see the guide to congressional trading disclosures.

A summary of public disclosures. Not investment advice, and not a recommendation to buy or sell any security.
